Why Become a Fellow?

The Society of Antiquaries of Scotland is a heritage charity with a global membership providing expertise, support and resources to enhance and promote the understanding and enjoyment of Scotland’s past.

Thanks to the support of our Fellows, we are able to empower and facilitate research and innovation through grants and awards, advocate as an independent voice for heritage, and share knowledge of the past with everyone through publications, lectures and conferences, projects and more.

In addition to helping to support the Society achieve its aims and charitable objectives for the benefit of all, people and heritage, there are many benefits of Fellowship:

“I became a Fellow because I wanted to be part of the community that’s around the Society. I find it’s a great way to network and meet people across lots of different research disciplines.” – Maya Hoole MA MScR PCIfA FSAScot, Heritage Data Project Manager, Member of the Society’s Editorial Advisory Board
